Pricing & Packages

How much does Zap Whale cost?

Zap Whale offers three flat monthly packages: Foundations at $297/month, Growth at $597/month, and Scaling at $997/month. The site build and AEO/GEO audit are one-time work, bundled into the monthly price, not billed as a separate upfront project. A la carte and upfront pricing are available on request, but the monthly subscription is the default. Final pricing is always confirmed live on a call. No ballpark estimates.

What's included in the $297/month Foundations package?

Foundations ($297/mo) includes an AI-powered smart site, automated inbound lead follow-up, automated Google review requests, and a one-time AI Discovery (AEO/GEO) optimization pass. The site is conversion-focused and mobile-first: hero, services, real project gallery, FAQ addressing homeowner objections, contact form, and an AI chat widget answering common questions 24/7. Every web form gets an instant response and auto-logs to your CRM, tagged by source. Live in five business days from completed intake.

What does the $597/month Growth package add?

Growth ($597/mo) adds missed-call text-back, automated booking confirmations and reminders, and ongoing AEO/GEO management on top of everything in Foundations. The missed-call piece is the single highest-leverage add at this tier: a homeowner calls, nobody answers, and an automatic SMS goes out within 2 minutes with a booking link. Booking follow-up sends 24-hour and 2-hour reminders to cut no-shows. Live in five business days from completed intake, same as every tier.

What does the $997/month Scaling package add?

Scaling ($997/mo) adds lead qualification and routing, no-show recovery flows, and aggressive ongoing AI Discovery management on top of everything in Growth. Qualifying questions go out via SMS and email on every new lead: project type, budget, timeline, urgency. Automatic scoring routes high-value jobs straight to your phone and files tire-kickers instead of chasing them. No-show recovery texts and reschedule flows make sure a missed appointment doesn't become a dead lead. Live in five business days from completed intake, same as every tier.

Is there a big upfront setup fee?

No. The website build and AEO/GEO setup are bundled into the flat monthly subscription rather than billed as a $3,000–$8,000 upfront project. Flat monthly pricing matches how contractors already think about recurring costs, ad spend, software subscriptions, and lowers the barrier to starting. If you specifically want upfront/a-la-carte pricing, we can structure it that way on the call.

Can I cancel?

Yes. These are monthly subscriptions, not long-term contracts. You're not locked into a 12-month agency retainer. We keep clients by recovering leads every month, not by holding contracts over their heads. Specifics get confirmed in your service agreement before anything is signed.

Won't this cost me more than what I save in leads?

Run the math the other direction. Contractors lose 15–40% of inbound leads to slow response, missed calls, and poor follow-up, and most recover 2–3 booked jobs in month one from missed-call recovery alone. At the average deal size in trades like concrete, decks, or epoxy flooring, one recovered job pays for the entire monthly package. This isn't an expense; it's insurance against leaving money on the table.

What We Build

What exactly is an "AI-native lead system"?

An AI-native lead system is the combination of a conversion-focused website, automated lead response (missed-call text-back, instant form replies), lead qualification and routing, and AEO/GEO visibility, all connected and running 24/7. The website is the foundation; the automations are where the money is. The funnel is simple: AI search and Google get homeowners to the site, the site captures their name and phone before they leave, automation responds within 2 minutes, and qualification determines urgency and fit. Most contractors optimize zero pieces of this. We deploy the entire system.

What are the six core services?

Six systems, one funnel:

How is this different from Wix, Squarespace, or a $200 AI website builder?

Those tools build pages. Zap Whale builds lead systems, a Wix or Squarespace site doesn't text back missed calls, respond to web leads in under 2 minutes, qualify prospects, or feed your CRM automatically. Websites are a commodity now; any contractor can put up something passable for $200. That's not our competition, that's our setup. The question isn't whether your site looks nice. It's whether it captures every visitor's name and phone and responds before your competitor does.

How is this different from hiring a digital agency?

Three ways: speed, price, and scope. Traditional agencies charge $3,000–$10,000+ per month, take 6–12 weeks to launch, and mostly manage ad spend; Zap Whale delivers a complete lead system in five business days at $297–$997/month. Agencies are built for jargon-heavy retainer relationships. We're a specialized AI-native shop for home services that ties everything to one metric: booked jobs.

What don't you do?

Four things, stated plainly:

Speed, Response & Automation

How does missed-call text-back actually work?

A homeowner calls while you're on a jobsite. Nobody answers. Within 2 minutes, the system automatically sends the caller an SMS with a booking link, before they've moved on to the next contractor on their list. This is the "first business to respond wins ~78% of jobs" mechanism, automated. Contractors doing this manually recover zero after-hours leads. The automation recovers 5–15 per month depending on business size.

Why does 2-minute response time matter so much?

Because lead decay is brutal and non-linear. Responding to a lead within 5 minutes versus 30 minutes makes you 100x more likely to make contact and 21x more likely to qualify the lead, per MIT/InsideSales research on 15,000 leads. Meanwhile, most businesses respond in hours; audits have found fewer than 7% respond within 5 minutes and many never respond at all. Your competition is slow. The system makes you first, every time.

Does the automation work after hours and on weekends?

Yes, that's the point. The system doesn't sleep, take lunch, or run a jobsite estimate. After-hours inquiries are exactly where lead leakage is worst for contractors, and exactly where automated response recovers jobs your competitors leave on the table.

Will the automated texts sound like a robot?

No. The messages are short, plainspoken, and written the way you'd actually text a customer: "Hey, this is Mike's Plumbing. Saw your call come through. Still need help with the water heater?" No corporate script, no "Dear Valued Customer." Homeowners reply because it reads like you.

CRM & Tools

Does this work with my CRM?

Zap Whale integrates with the major home-services CRMs, Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, and QuoteIQ, logging every lead automatically with source tagging. Web forms, missed calls, and chat conversations all land in your existing system with context attached. No manual entry, no administrative drag. If you're on something else, we'll confirm compatibility on the call.

I'm already using a software tool for some of this. Do I still need you?

Maybe not, and we'll tell you if so. Most contractors using a tool are missing the link between capture and response: the after-hours call that never gets a text back, the web form that sits 30 minutes. Tell us what you're running and we'll audit the gaps. If there aren't any, you don't need us.

Timeline & Process

How fast will I be live?

Five business days from completed intake to launch, on every package, and the automations go live the same day the site does. Same clock on Foundations, Growth, and Scaling, the package changes what the system does, not how fast it ships. Compare that to the 6–12 week discovery-call purgatory of a traditional agency.

How long until I see results?

Missed-call recovery and instant lead response start working the moment the site goes live, and recovered leads show up in week 1. Qualification and scoring flows (Scaling tier) typically show cleaner leads by week 2–3. Most contractors see a measurable lift in booked jobs by week 4.

What do you need from me to get started?

One intake session. Business details, service list, service area, photos of real work, and CRM access. After that, the build runs on our side. The process is designed for time-scarce owner-operators: minimal back-and-forth, no homework, no 40-question worksheets.

AI Discovery (AEO/GEO)

What is AEO/GEO and why should a contractor care?

AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) make your business show up when homeowners ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI "who's the best [trade] near me." Homeowners increasingly ask AI before they ask a neighbor. Structured content, schema markup, and an llms.txt file tell those systems exactly what you do and where you do it. Your competitors aren't doing this yet. That's the opportunity.

Is AEO/GEO a one-time thing or ongoing?

Depends on tier. Foundations includes a one-time optimization pass: schema markup, Google Business Profile optimization, and llms.txt setup. Growth upgrades it to standard ongoing management with monitoring and periodic adjustments. Scaling runs aggressive management: the highest-frequency monitoring and adjustment across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and local search.

Fit

I get most of my leads from referrals. Do I need this?

Referrals are your best channel, keep them. But every referral still calls you, and if you miss that call on a jobsite, they hire your competitor. And homeowners increasingly Google or ask ChatGPT before they ask a neighbor. The system doesn't replace referrals; it captures the demand referrals would miss and makes sure no referral call goes unanswered.

Who is Zap Whale a bad fit for?

We disqualify fast, on purpose. Zap Whale is a bad fit for contractors under $100k annual revenue, anyone wanting e-commerce or customer portals, businesses locked into $5k+/month agency retainers, and anyone who needs it "perfect before launch." The right client makes $250k–$2M+ annually, runs 2–15 employees, is spending money on leads but frustrated with ROI, and wants results in the first 30 days, not a six-month brand journey. Full fit criteria on our Who We Work With page.

What trades do you work with?

Ten primary niches: concrete contractors, pressure washing, fence companies, outdoor kitchen builders, pergola builders, epoxy floor installers, paver installers, deck builders, artificial turf installers, and landscape lighting. If you're an adjacent trade with the same lead-leakage problem, ask: the system transfers.
